Colleen Parot Curry

Colleen was born on August 4th, 1951, in Colchester, Vermont to Clarence and Simone Parot. She attended Saint Louis Convent, and Saint Francis Xavier and Winooski High Schools. Following high school, Colleen started her working career at the Burlington Savings Bank. She then went to work at Curry’s Auto Parts for 29 years, where she became mom-like to many.

On April 26th, 2003, Colleen married the love of her life, Dahl H. Curry, in Manassas, Virginia, where they resided together. Family was everything to Colleen. She loved hearing their stories and tried to stay current with their lives. She celebrated their good times and always offered her support too. She was very devoted and found comfort in her church, making friends along the way. Colleen learned sign language, loved to craft, was a good neighbor, took fitness classes with her friends, and loved to “lunch with the ladies”. The one thing that she always looked forward to were calls with her sisters, and those calls could easily last an hour or two or longer, as they never ran out of things to say.

Colleen is survived by her spouse, Dahl; and her sons, Kyle and Kasey Meunier and their respective wives, Melanie and Loribeth. She was stepmother to Dahl Curry II; and grandmother to Adyson, Caroline, Colton, Hayley, Kendall, Trevor, and Tyler. Colleen also leaves behind her siblings: Marilyn, Luchini and her husband Steve, Arnold Parot and his wife Charlotte, Jerry Parot and his wife Debbie, Danny Parot and his wife Lourie, and Patricia Noury; as well as many nieces and nephews - too many to name.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille Couture; and brothers-in-law, Paul Couture and Edward Noury.

Colleen’s caring nature, sense of humor, and overall kindness will be dearly missed, but we remind ourselves that those we love deeply become part of us.

A memorial service will be held on April 11th at 1pm at St. Thomas United Methodist Church, 8899 Sudley Road, Manassas, Virginia 20110.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made and sent directly to the church.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Vermont with family and friends later this year.
