

Mr. Eugene "Gene" Gonzales Grant, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away on May 19, 2024, in Manassas, Virginia, at the age of 52. He was born on May 21, 1971, in Germany.
Gene was a Certified Engineering Mechanic with Emcor, where he dedicated himself to his work with passion and skill. However, his true joy came from his hobbies. He was known for his culinary talents, his love for speed on rollercoasters, motorcycles, jet skis, cars, and boats, and his willingness to help others by volunteering with Project Mend-A-House in Manassas, where he was honored as Volunteer of the Year in 2020.
In his personal life, Gene was a devoted family man. He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie; son Tyler (Natalie); Father Eugene Jr. and stepmother Judi; granddaughter Marcelinn Grant-Huezo; sisters Jacqueline Grant and Melissa (Joel) Courtright; Grandmother Lossie Hemmingway and a niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Anne Bennett; grandfathers Gonzales Hemmingway and Eugene Grant Sr; and Grandmother Corinne Grant.
A ceremony to celebrate Gene's life will be held at the Electric Palm Restaurant in Woodbridge, Virginia on June 9, 2024. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Project Mend-A-House in Manassas, Virginia.
Gene will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
