

John Jeffrey Diamond of Centreville, Virginia passed away on January 29, 2025 at the age of 72.
John was born on April 28, 1952, in Schenectady, New York where he grew up and graduated high school. He then went on to earn an associate’s degree in business from Cobleskill Agricultural and Technical School and a bachelor’s degree in business administration at the George Mason University.
He began his working career in clothing retail, and then later moved into technology including managing the very first Apple personal computer retail store in Washington, DC. When he retired, he was an executive at a national payroll and benefits services company.
John is survived by his wife: Carla Diamond; son: Nicholas and his wife Keila Diamond; grandson: Rafael; and brothers: Michael and his wife Claudia Diamond, and Hugh Diamond.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Jean (Wagner) Diamond.
John was a sweet, kind, hardworking man with a quick wit and beautiful smile. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed playing tennis, gardening, watching his son play golf, and walking the family dog. His passion throughout life was cars, especially foreign ones. Many weekends were spent detailing his car du jour, browsing around BMW lots, or attending a car show.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at the Chantilly National Golf Country Club, 14901 Braddock Road, Centreville, Virginia 20120 on March 16, 2025 from 2-4 pm.
