Randina Sierra Foret went to be with the Lord on August 03, 2025, just shy of her 51st birthday.
Born to Barbara Fairchild, a country and gospel singer, Randina grew up between San Antonio, TX, and Nashville, TN, immersed in a life of music. Though her life brought many changes, her greatest constant was her relationship with Jesus Christ, whom she met at the age of eight and followed faithfully for the rest of her life.
Randina spent her high school years as a varsity cheerleader in Franklin, TN, graduating from Page High School in 1993. She later moved to Branson, MO, with her mother, where she worked as a dental assistant by day, and waited tables at Mary Jane’s Tea Room and sang in her mother’s theater on Highway 76 by night.
In May 1997, Randina met Jake Foret at the wedding of Sheila and Shannon Clark in Nashville. Jake had just graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy, and the two began a long-distance relationship while he trained for the Navy’s submarine force. They married on September 05, 1998, beginning a journey of love, service, and adventure together.
As a Navy wife, Randina moved with Jake through eleven duty stations—including Groton, CT; Honolulu, HI; Bangor, WA; Jacksonville, FL; Leavenworth, KS; and Washington, DC—often more than once. When they started their family, Randina fully embraced motherhood and her role as a Navy wife, dedicating herself to raising their three children. While stationed in Hawaii, Randina homeschooled their children through middle and high school while Jake served as Commanding Officer of the USS SANTA FE (SSN 763).
Faith and service defined Randina’s life. She and Jake were deeply involved in ministry at Burke Community Church during their three Navy shore tours in the Washington, DC area. Randina had a deep passion for mentoring young women and teaching them to walk faithfully with Christ through all seasons of life. She served as a life group leader in Middle School Well and High School Mix ministries, joyfully participating in weekly teen worship, Bible study, retreats, and summer camps. She and Jake also led their “Raging with Teens” Life Group—a two-time winner of BCC’s annual tailgater contest—sharing both laughter and discipleship with other families.
In 2017, Randina first faced breast cancer while in Pearl Harbor and Jake was on deployment. She fought gracefully and courageously, displaying an unwavering faith in Jesus and modeling peace and strength for those around her. In 2023, when the cancer returned, she once again walked through the fire with dignity, love, and a deep trust in the Lord.
Randina is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 27 years, Jake Foret, and their three children: Madeline Rae (23), Jameson Avery (21), and Anna Brynn (19), all of Burke, Virginia. She is also survived by her parents, Roy and Barbara Morris of Hollister, MO; her sister, Tara Haines of Waverly, TN; her brother, Randy Reinhard (Jennifer) and their son Joshua of Hollister, MO; her sister, Lorna Chambers (John) of Prattville, AL; and her sister, Linelle (Matt) of Branson, MO. Her nieces—Chloe, Kylie, Krisann, Kannon, Hope, and Molly—are now grown and beginning their own journeys.
A celebration of Randina’s life will be held on Saturday, August 09 with visitation from 9:00-9:45AM and service from 10:00-11:00AM at Burke Community Church in Burke, VA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Burke Community Church Scholarship Fund. This will help fund students going to summer church camp (https://ppay.co/u8EXzAas-FQ).
