Wayne Emerson Ellis Jr.

Wayne Emerson Ellis, Jr., of Herndon, Virginia, and originally from Midlothian, Virginia, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 17, 2020. Wayne is survived by his wife of 24 years, Chi Nguyen Ellis; his sons, Tyler Emerson Ellis and Hunter Wayne Ellis; his parents, Wayne Emerson Ellis, Sr., and Janet Perry Ellis; his sister, Lauren Ellis Bloch (Evan Amdur Bloch); his niece, Taylor Ellis Bloch; and nephew, Kyle Amdur Bloch.

Wayne graduated from Virginia Tech in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and a postgraduate certification in Property Management. He excelled in tennis and, as a teenager, held a high Virginia state ranking. Wayne also had a passion for spending time outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, especially during family vacations in the Outer Banks, boating, hunting, and visiting his family's historic farmhouse in Essex County, Virginia.

Due to COVID restrictions, a private family memorial gathering and graveside service will be held later this fall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Upper Essex Baptist Church, P.O. Box 225, Caret, Virginia 22436.
