Doris Marie Herring

Friday, April 24, 2026 at her home, with family by her side.

Born January 29,1939 to the late Jacob Emory & Ella Florance Shifflett.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Herring, Sr.;

son Lloyd Herring Jr.; and two daughters Diana and Brenda Herring; two brothers James and Cecil Shifflett; three sisters Helen Morris, Minnie Genty, and Nellie Shifflett; daughter-n- law Genie Herring and son-in- law Roy Burton.

Doris leaves behind her daughter Janice Burton; two sons Donnie Herring (Tara) and Ronnie Herring; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 8 great -great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Doris spent 38 years working at Cooper Industry. After closing, she went to work at Our Lady of Peace until she retired.

She enjoyed watching ME TV and westerns, and she always looked forward to holidays, and Friday and Sunday visits from family.

A graveside service will be conducted at Holly Memorial Gardens on Saturday June 13th @11:00 am
