Harold Thomas Eppard

Harold Thomas Eppard, 87, a lifetime resident of Stanardsvillle, Va went on his final ride on March 30, 2025. He was a lifetime truck driver and part time farmer. He was a member of the Million Mile Club with Mac Trucks, having over 3 million miles of safe driving. In his career he drove for Smith Commodies, Webster Brick, Gilbert Implements and Allied Concrete to name a few. He was an avid International Harvester Collector.

Harold was born June 12, 1937 to the late Eugene and “Nettie” Eppard. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Emily Morris Eppard, Grandson Colby Eppard and Great Granddaughter Ella Taylor, his brother Carl Eppard and his sister Jeanne Gabriel.

He is survived by his daughter Waltine (Guy) Maupin, sons Richard (Terry) and Thomas (Diane) Eppard, grandchildren Ritchie and Daniel Taylor, Courtney & TJ Eppard, great grandchildren Olivia Lamb, Alyssa, Evan, Emma & Delana Taylor and Camryn Eppard all of Stanardsville.

A special thanks to his care team at the Hospice of the Piedmont, Lee, Allison, Betty and Jeanette.

A celebration of dads life will be held Sunday, April 13th at 2 PM at the Dyke Fire Dept. Interment will be private.
