

John was an accomplished Fairfax County Police Officer, with a deep love for music and sports such as baseball, ice hockey, and football.
He was preceded in death by Ilka Lazar (grandmother), Vlastimil Lorence (grandfather), Oldrich Lazar (step-grandfather); in addition to his beloved dogs Dutch, Tessa, Pepper, Sundance, Brandy, Theo, Ellie, and Brodie.
He is survived by his strong mother, Helen Driver, his devoted wife, Brenda Keating, his daughter, Emma Keating, his Labrador, Lincoln, and his grand-dog, Norman. Other survivors include aunts Jane Melville and Eliška Meyers, uncle Randy Meyers, cousins, Meagan Murphy, Geoffrey Melville, Zachary Meyers, and Nick Meyers, and mother-in-law Mary Sprouse and father-in-law Warren Sprouse.
John will be remembered for his humor, his heart, and his bravery. Although it will never be the same without him, his family is comforted by the fact that John can finally rest.
