Leslie Ann Ray

She was the daughter of Leslie J. Hellner (d. 1970) and Norma C. Hellner (d. 1972) and the eldest sibling of Richard “Dick” Hellner (d. 2018), Lynn Cahill (d. 2012), Thomas “Tom” Hellner (d. 2008) and Patricia “Patty” Little.

Raised primarily in Ridgewood, New Jersey, some of her favorite childhood activities included going to the beach, competitive swimming and diving. As an adult she pursued various professional interests such as a regional coordinator for foreign exchange students, a real estate agent, masseuse and esthetician.

Leslie loved her family, friends, and animals. She is survived by her sister, Patty; her friend and second husband, Frederick “Rick” Ray; and her four children: Keith; Beth; Jason and his wife, Lauren; and Kim and his wife, Nicole. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Giselle, Tristan, Liam, Mira, and Nora. She leaves behind cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Leslie will be greatly missed. Her sense of humor and laughter brought much joy to those who love her.

The family will be having a private memorial. In honor of Leslie’s wishes, her cremains will be scattered at sea.
