Carol Louise Butz

“T” joyfully went to be with her Lord on April 19, 2025. “T” grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated from New Woodward High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Bob Butz, on January 5, 1957.

“T” was a dedicated member of Woodlake United Methodist Church, where she served faithfully as Director of Congregational Care for many years. She was also a member of the Hope Circle, the Mission Team, and a Stephen Minister. In addition, she was involved with the Stewards of Creation group.

Her life was deeply enriched by mission trips to the Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Sierra Leone, Africa. She also served on a team in Gulfport, Mississippi, after Hurricane Katrina—always feeling God’s presence in the places she visited.

“T” felt truly blessed to be married to her beloved husband, Bob, for 67 years. Together, they raised five children, who in turn brought wonderful spouses, 15 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren into their lives. Her family was her greatest joy and accomplishment.

A celebration of her life will be held at Woodlake United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 11 AM, followed by a reception at the church. Family visitation will start at 10 AM.
