Christopher Ray Bowles

Christopher Ray Bowles, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 15th, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on August 15th, 1964, to Jesse & Margaret Bowles, Chris was a lifelong resident of Mechanicsville & Richmond, Virginia.

Chris briefly served in the Coast Guard, but ultimately found his passion in the culinary arts. He dedicated his career to being a chef, lending his talents to numerous establishments throughout the years. While he enjoyed his work in the kitchen, some of his most cherished memories stemmed from his adventurous travels to Alaska in the early 1990s, where he forged lasting friendships and experienced the raw beauty of the wilderness.

Chris is survived by his loving siblings: Gale Giegerich, Danny Bowles, Peggy Nelson, Judith Ballard, Patrick Bowles, and Sandy Bowles.

In accordance with his wishes, Chris will be cremated. A small, private gathering for family will be held in May to celebrate his life. Those wishing to learn more are invited to reach out to the family directly.
