Dawn Drye Wallace

Dawn Drye Wallace, 78, of Glen Allen, VA, went to be with the Angels in the Lord's Kingdom on Friday, April 10, 2026. She was preceded in death by her mother, Millicent Mashburn Drye Riddle; father, Herman Lee Drye; and her stepfather, Bernard Edward Riddle. Dawn is survived by her husband, James H. Wallace, Jr.; brother, Ricky Edward Drye; nieces, Amy Michele Drye, Holly Nicole Drye-Dolina, Heather Marie Moore, and Abby Dawn Drye, as well as their spouses and children. She was a graduate of George Washington High School, Danville, VA and moved to Richmond where she was employed by C&P Telephone/Bell Atlantic/Verizon. Dawn enjoyed various activities as a member of the Order of the Moose, C&P Bells, and The Ding-a-Lings. She was a former member of Step Up to Country, Leather and Lace, Country Style Dancers of Virginia, and Kickin' County Line Dancin'. Line dancing was her passion, as well as social dancing with her one and only, James. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
