

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kathleen and Ken Drury, England.
Ken was a naturalized U.S. citizen, originally from Yorkshire, England. He made the USA his home in 1983 with his surviving wife of 39 years, Christine, first in NY and then in VA. Ken had many passions and pursuits throughout his life: He was a well-known amateur ballroom dancer with his soulmate partner, Christine. He played the piano. He wrote fictional stories and loved to study history, especially regarding the WWII Holocaust. He took beautiful black and white photographs, and enjoyed watercolor painting. For 23 years, he coached Travel team Boys’ Soccer for the Richmond Strikers Club. He loved walking the Pennines and Yorkshire Dales. And he loved his dogs, Puppy, Fuzzy and Mikki. His generous, kind and loving spirit will be deeply missed by his wife and many friends spanning the globe.
The family will hold a private cremation service. A memorial service to celebrate Ken’s life will be held at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, in the Clairborne Robertson Room (3rd Floor), Thursday, August 25th from 5:00 - 7:00pm. Please RSVP to Christine by August 18, 2022.
