We are heartbroken to announce that our son, Liam Dylan Winton-Stahle, passed suddenly on June 13, 2025. Liam was a gifted, creative, caring, and unique soul who left us too soon. This loss is unexpected, and our family greatly mourns Liam’s passing.
Liam was a beautiful, 12-year-old boy who was becoming a handsome young man - full of energy and life. Liam loved all animals and insects. Our home was often a rehab hospital for the precious animals and bugs Liam found struggling in his travels. Liam had a fearlessly creative mind, from his many trumpet compositions, computer programs, electronic circuit designs, and Minecraft worlds to his costumes, cat castles and home-built contraptions. Liam loved and lived an active life - climbing, Parkour, playing in the river, building snow forts in the winter and sandcastles in the summer. Most of all, Liam dearly loved his mother, Heidi Winton-Stahle.
Liam was predeceased by his father, Christopher Michael Winton-Stahle. Liam had a large group of friends and family who love him unconditionally and miss him terribly, including: his stepfather, Andrew McAllister, and stepsisters, Madeleine, Abigail and Claire McAllister; his grandparents, Carol and Barry Webb and Nancy Hill; as well as several aunts, great-aunts, cousins and his many friends and teachers at Riverside School.
A service of celebration for Liam’s life will be held at River Road Church, Baptist, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Liam’s honor to Riverside School of Bon Air, Virginia, a school that transforms the lives of students with Dyslexia and similar language-based learning differences at Riverside School.
