Lisa was born on October 11, 1961 in Wilmington, DE to Jerry Cooper and Lucille DiPaola Cooper. She was raised in Wilmington, DE and Mexico City, MX where she spent her childhood in the company of her two sisters. She spent 9 years in Mexico attending Escuela Sierra Nevada and the American High School, with summers in Bethany Beach, DE. She graduated from the University of Delaware in 1984 and spent 13 years employed by the DuPont Company working in accounting and finance. She met her husband, Scott, at the Deer Park Tavern in Newark, DE in late 1983, and in 1987 they were married in Greenville, DE and had two beautiful girls who are now fully grown, educated, and employed.
Lisa stayed active in the community through her involvement in teaching CCD and Spanish to elementary school students, serving on the PTA, community garden, Mom’s Club, Garden Club, Women’s Club, and playing tennis and golf. In 2012 Lisa took over managing the Dymetrol Company in Bladenboro, NC and worked hard in the business until the end.
Lisa was an active member of the Catholic Church in Mexico City (St. Patrick); Wilmington, DE (St. Mary Magdalen); Cary, NC (St. Michael); and Midlothian, VA (Church of the Epiphany).
Lisa was a loving and devoted wife and mother, and a good friend with an infectious laugh to many who knew her. She leaves behind her husband Scott of 33 years and is survived by her daughters Michelle Frampton (Matthew) and Jennifer Gordon, her soon-to-be granddaughter Evelyn Lisa Frampton, her mother Lucille Cooper, and her sisters Monica Casey (Patrick) and Mary Jo Grier (Richard).
A celebration of Lisa’s life will occur at a later date when the world returns to some degree of post pandemic normalcy. In the meantime, the family suggests donations of sympathy be made in Lisa’s name to the Church of the Epiphany in Midlothian, VA (https://epiphanychurch.weshareonline.org/) or Shepherd’s Way Relief Center in Richmond, VA (https://www.ourshepherdsway.org/).
