A warm and loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend to many, Mark touched the lives of those who knew him in ways that will never be forgotten.
Mark was a master craftsman who used his skills in service to others. He was also a grill master, a jokester, and quite possibly the world's biggest Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Mark lived a life filled with adventures and memories made along the way. He loved camping, fishing off a pier, hosting cookouts and holiday gatherings, and taking long car rides with absolutely no destination in mind. He found his happy place in the mountains, where he could enjoy the beauty and simplicity of the great outdoors.
A fierce protector of those he loved, Mark never measured his wealth by money or material things, but by the laughter, love, and memories shared with family and friends. And by that measure, he was a very wealthy man indeed.
Mark is survived by the love of his life, Maria Edwards; his mother, Ellen Field; his sons, Christopher Field (Chelsea), Matthew Field, and Logan Wills; and his beloved grandchildren, Ryleigh Wills, Chloe Wills, Elizabeth Field, and Evangeline Field.
He is also survived by his sisters, Malinda Phelps (Rick) and Lacinda Sims (Bill); his brother, Lorne Field (Heather); numerous nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him dearly.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Cyrus W. Field, Jr.
A memorial service celebrating Mark's life will be held in the spring in his beloved mountains. Additional details will be shared with family and friends as arrangements are finalized.
