Born on October 12, 1962, and swiftly taken away to heaven on August 23, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents David B. Good, III and Mildred Gazelle Buchanan Good (Mickey). Michael was the youngest of seven siblings. He leaves behind siblings, Mary Jo Hines (Wayne), Jean Fitzgerald (Dennis), Patricia Cuenin (Greg), Cathy Kelley (David), Peggy Good and Buddy Good (Patty). Also left to mourn Michael is a dear partner, Ronnie Russell.
He has numerous adoring nieces and nephews-Steve Cole (Jess), Sarah Grubbs (Robby), Katie Harrison Austin), Mark Hines (Lauren), Andrew Fitzgerald (Monica), Matthew Fitzgerald (Jessica), Emily Woodward (Matthew), Ben Cuenin (Jordan), Grace Cuenin, Christy Parker, Tommy Parker (Megan), Kelley Livingstone (Jim), Ashley Davenport, Robert Fischer, Daniel Smith, Samuel Smith, Angela Hendricks, Adam Good (Jessy), Alexsa Good, Nathaniel Good, as well as great nieces and nephews – all who love him and thought of him as the best person ever.
Michael was a special person with many unique qualities. He loved unconditionally and completely. He would make time for you whether you were just dropping by to visit or call him. When you were with him, he looked you directly in the eyes and made you feel as if you were the most important person in his life. At that moment, you knew that you were valued and loved.
He was a kind and caring spirit that gave endlessly to others. Michael took it upon himself to begin to live with his mom and so thoughtfully and selflessly was her primary caretaker for many years. She was so blessed to have this loving son be with her until she passed in 2018.
Michaels’ spiritual awareness and his gift and knowledge of God was shared with everyone he knew and met. All those who met him came to find an inner peace. He had healing hands which he shared with family members. He became a massage therapist so that he could share this special talent with others and formed quite a list of loyal clients.
One of his best legacies is his HUGS!! When Michael hugged you, it was like a long and strong bear hug that lasted minutes. He saw beauty in everything. Michael’s special appreciation for nature and gardening is shown in his beautiful yard and garden. He shall always be remembered for his laughter and love of life as he was like an ‘adult child’.
Heaven received a special gift, and he will be truly missed. We have the peace of mind knowing that he is with our Heavenly Father, that we will see him again and we are sure that he was greeted with open arms by his mom and dad.
God speed little brother, Michael.
There will be a celebration of Michael’s life at the Unity of Richmond church on Sunday, September 26 at 4:00 – reception to follow.
