Norman Carl Stephenson

Stephenson, Norman C. “Steve” (aka. Little Buddy), 82, of Henrico, left this life Jan. 1, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Lenora Stephenson; sister, Anna Chapple; sons, Mark Stephenson and Charles Vest . He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patricia Stephenson; children, Sherry Dyson, Kevin Vest (Sheila), Rod Vest, and James Vest Jr. (Diane); grandchildren, Heather Dyson, Nathan Vest, Dylan Vest, Donovan Vest (Jean), and Holden Vest; greatgrandchildren, Chloe Vest, Colin Vest, and Malachi Vest; and siblings, Carol Sudlow (Bob) and Keith Stephenson (Rose).

Norman left his childhood home in Otway, OH to serve his country with the US Navy for 4 years. After leaving the Navy, Norman settled down in Richmond, VA and went to work for Sears and Roebuck. He retired at 55 after 35 years of service. Norman enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He had a passion and love for hunting. Being outdoors, in nature, was where Norman felt most at home. He had decades of stories about his adventures and travels he liked to share with all who knew him, and sometimes a joke or two. Getting lost in books was another beloved hobby of Norman's as well as music. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing with friends and family whenever he had the chance.

Norman's love of God, Country, Family, and Friends kept him strong and saw him through many of life's obstacles. His memory and his stories will live on through all of those who knew him well. He will be deeply missed.
