Rebecca Powers Ayers

Becky was married to the love of her life, Claude A. Ayers Jr., for 63 beautiful years. Together they built a family with love, laughter, and faith. She is survived by her husband Claude and her daughter Pamela Ayers, who will forever hold her memory close. Becky was preceded in death by her son, Claude A. Ayers III, her daughter, Loretta Lynn Ayers, and her mother, Annie V. Powers.

She was the kind of woman who lit up every room she entered—playful, mischievous in the sweetest way, always ready joke around and was known for her warmth, strength and generosity.

Although Becky is not on this earth, her presence is still felt. Becky’s bucket list was to go to Tahiti so this celebration of life we are taking her to Tahiti. We ask that you dress in beach like clothes for her send off and my brother Andy Ayers will be joining her.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at Hopewell Moose Lodge Family Center 1472, 4701 Western St, Hopewell, Va 23860 on January 31, 2026. The Center will be open at 2:00 pm and the Celebration of life will begin at 3:00 pm and is located behind the Moose Lodge itself as a standalone building. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to the Richmond ASPCA.
