Moody, Richard David, of Richmond, VA, known to many as David, Dicky, Daddy, Pawpaw, Orville, Dervish and Bus Head, went to the pearly gates on February 1, 2021. David was born on October 12, 1956. Together with his wife of 30 years, Linda Ignatowicz Moody, they raised their two daughters, Ellie Moody Murnane and Grace Moody in Midlothian, Virginia. He adored his girls, his son-in law, Zach, and being Pawpaw to Emmett and Wally Murnane; he is also survived by his sister, Katherine Brooks; nephew Whit Brooks; numerous brother and sister in-laws, nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Katherine Moody, his brother, Sam Moody, his sister’s child, Therin Brooks; and niece, Leah Mullen.
David graduated from VT and spent his career with the Page Auto Group. The car business ran through his veins. David was the quintessential outdoorsman, and loved to give advice on all things hunting and fishing. Nothing was better than catching a citation bass at Trice’s Lake. No one will forget his zest for adventure, his smile, his hearty laugh, his quirks, his storytelling, his green truck, and his infectious spirit.
The family will receive guests via a COVID safe drive through visitation at Audi Richmond,
12592 Broad Street Road on Sunday, February 21st, from 1-4.
