Born on February 16, 1942, Dennis brought laughter and warmth to all who knew him. He had a natural gift for humor, always ready with a joke or a clever remark that could brighten even the darkest day. Beyond his humor was a man deeply committed to helping others—whether lending a hand to a neighbor, offering wisdom to a friend, or simply being there when someone needed him.
Dennis was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Lois, and a loving father to his children, Michael (Caroline) and Erin (Jay Parker). He took great pride in his role as a grandfather, cherishing every moment with Robert, Cameron, Sage, and Iris as well as God son Vann R. Graves (Autumn, children William and Chloe) Dennis is survived by his brothers Ned, John, and Greg Malarkey. His family was the heart of his world, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and generosity.
Though he is no longer with us, Dennis’s spirit lives on in the stories he told, the kindness he showed, and the countless lives he touched. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love.
A celebration of Dennis’s life will be held February 21, 2025, 4pm at Ginter Park Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor his memory by sharing a joke, lending a hand to someone in need, or simply spreading a little more kindness in the world—just as he always did. Donations of grocery bags with handles to St. Thomas’ Food Pantry would also be a meaningful way to continue Dennis’s legacy of generosity.
