

He was preceded in death by his father Willard Mitchell Perkins Sr, mother Zelia Belvin Perkins, and his brother Willard Mitchell Perkins Jr.
He is survived by his wife of more than 60 years, Patricia Perkins. He also leaves behind his sons, Tracy B. Troxell (wife Diane), Ryder L. Perkins (wife Donna), and Joshua R. Perkins (wife Renee); his grandchildren, Brooke D. Barney (husband Matthew), Edythe D. Perkins, Morgan L. Perkins, and Christopher Troxell (wife Maureen); and his great-grandson, Mason Reid Barney.
Robert Lee had a deep desire to help others and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved the outdoors and found great joy in hunting and fishing, especially when spending that time with his sons and, later, his grandchildren.
Throughout his working career, Robert Lee owned several businesses, including Perkins Gulf Service and later Laurel Landscaping. He valued the relationships he built with his clients over the years, many of whom became lifelong friends.
Robert Lee will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was known for always having a story to share and a bit of advice to offer. His kindness, wisdom, and the impact he made on others’ lives will never be forgotten. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
