Saundra Ann Futrell

Saundra dedicated many years of faithful service to the United States Postal Service, where she served as Postmaster before retiring. Throughout her life, she was a devoted member of Fine Creek Baptist, Manteo Baptist, and Elon Baptist Churches, where her faith and fellowship were an important part of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Hugh; her brother, Billy; her sisters, Faye and Mary Alice; and her son, CB.

Saundra leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her devoted husband of 68 years, Clyde; daughter, Debra; son, Paul; grandson, Jeremy; great-grandson, Cordell; and daughter-in-law, Pam, sons-in-laws Pino and Chris. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her extended family, dear friends, and all who were blessed to know her and share in her life.

Saundra will be remembered for her love of family, her dedication to her community, and her steadfast faith. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A memorial service celebrating Saundra’s life will be held on October 10, 2026, at Fine Creek Baptist Church, 3619 Huguenot Trail, Powhatan, VA 23139 at 1 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fine Creek Baptist Church. The family invites all who knew Saundra to honor her memory by sharing a kind word, a cherished memory, or a special moment of fellowship in her honor.
