

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Evelyn Heipp, brother, Thomas Heipp of Lutz, FL; and sister, Mary Bart of Willard, WI.; grandchildren, Brittany Heipp, Chad Heipp. Bill is survived by his loving wife and companion of more than 68 years, Barbara Heipp; his sons, William Heipp Jr.; Steven Heipp; Robert Heipp; and Richard Heipp; grandchildren, Christopher Heipp, Robert Heipp, and Autumn Heipp;
Mr. Heipp was a 1958 graduate of Marquette University. He served in the US Army for a period of 12 years and saw service in Korea and Vietnam. Bill retired in 1999 after many years of logistics management. He was the founder and charter president of the Central Virginia Roundtable of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals. He was an active member of St. Edward Catholic Church where he served as Eucharistic minister to the homebound and outreach services for the less fortunate. Bill also volunteered with Meals on Wheels. He was a strong proponent of conservative government and family values for which he was politically active. He enjoyed practical jokes, white water canoeing and frequent camping with Good Sam RV Club friends. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be preceded by a visitation at 11:00 am followed Immediately by mass at noon on June 29 at St. Edward Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Rd., Richmond. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Edward Catholic Church or The Family Foundation of Virginia.
