Lindsey Stokes at the Richmond office of the Cremation Society of VA was both professional and compassionate. She and her office provided exactly the services that I wanted. She and they have my appreciation.

At a difficult time, the CSV handled everything with care. All arrangements were made ahead of time, which made it easy for me. I plan to make my pre-arrangements with CSV as well.

Lori was very passionate and caring about my loss and took the stress away from me and took care of all of these details. Liz, in RVA, was great. She was very patient, helpful with selections, and kept in touch throughout the entire process. The staff has even ‘checked-in’ a month after the cremation to see how we were doing. I would highly recommend it!

Excellent service and very caring, helpful staff. We were in the unusual position of needing to cremate a friend who had no family willing to take care of his cremation expense. Callahan worked with us to find an affordable solution that allowed us to provide this final dignity for our friend. We highly recommend their service.

My Mother passed away a few months ago and the Cremation Society of Virginia handled all of the details of having my Mom's remains ashes stored. We took my Mom's ashes to rest in Bon Air Baptist's columbarium. The staff of CSV was so kind and caring. They even followed up with me to see how the family was doing in a nice note months later. I discussed options with a funeral home and found the expense too much of a burden. The CSV plan offered options to meet most needs and a program which seemed fiscally responsible. I won't be able to validate their promises but trust in CSV. The travel return home of my body was a positive feature as we plan on out of state travel in retirement. I have referred friends to CSV.

We were very pleased with the process, the necessary paperwork, the information provided, and detailed explanation of our preplanned cremation arrangements. Our funeral director, Kristan **, of the Cremation Society of Virginia - Richmond office was excellent. She made the planning process painless. She was very informative and answered all of our questions with respect.

I was already fairly well educated about CSV services and costs so-called to set up an account and had it wrapped up within 24 hours. In spite of the current COVID isolation, I wanted the travel assurance as the 75-mile radius might not account for both travel and possible relocation as one age so I think that feature is important for me. When you lose a loved one suddenly, stress and tensions are high. Upon first contacting the Cremation Society of Virginia, customer service was caring and understanding, and eager to assist us. Everything was handled by phone until the day of receiving the remains. They were very helpful when deciding to pre-arrange for the next parents' plans. I would highly recommend it.

I would like to thank Liz McCart and staff from the Cremation Society of Virginia at the Richmond offices for handling the arrangements for my mother, that we recently lost on May 13th, both professionally and with care. Everything was taken care of as promised at a very reasonable cost. They provided a small room at the facility for private viewing which is something my mother wanted to keep her dignity and privacy for the family members to honor her. I would highly recommend this type of private viewing/service if you have a small group of people.

I would recommend CSV to anyone. Lori Rogers and everyone we dealt with was very professional, discreet, and compassionate. We were not pressured to buy something we did not need or want, and the cost was far less than a funeral home. CSV made this difficult process as easy as it could have been.

The decision to use CSV was a good one. They could not have been more helpful, from filling out the right forms to making good choices during a very stressful time. They were available at all times for our needs. Things were done timely and well, with a caring and professional demeanor. Liz at CSV was very helpful and considerate of our situation with my wife passing and guided us through the process of her cremation opening the door for myself and my children to discuss and understand what was taking place and made us all feel very comfortable with the process. Our mother passed away on a Sunday evening. We had not yet made arraignments but with one call at 1:45 in the morning we were able to make contact and with 30 minutes 2 representatives were there to assist us. The next day we met at their offices and they made the entire process very easy and with compassion.

Courteous compassionate staff. I would recommend to others. Like the convenience of the payment plan. Like availability to pick up remains from other locations. I was impressed with how fast the urn package came. Easy sign-up. I like the convenience of the actual location of the offices. The initial information session was great.

When my mother was on hospice care, the nurse suggested using CSV because Mom only wanted to be cremated and didn't want to use anything else at a funeral home. The loss of my husband’s mother was very unexpected. From the moment I called until I picked up her ashes. Kristan was first and foremost compassionate, as well as kind, respectful and thoughtful. In this time of grief, she was a blessing.

Veronica was very professional in handling my niece for my brother. We were from out of town and only had 1 day to take care of the paperwork. She took care of everything for us over the phone that she possibly could. All we had to do was come in, pick out the urn sign the papers and give them a check. Had my dad cremated here recently and it was a bit of a process but everyone was nice and helpful as law of Virginia allows.

A dear friend's ceremony was held here. The staff was wonderful, the interior was beautiful and respectful. It was a wonderful way to say goodbye to a dear friend. The area was carpeted, clean and warm. The interior was beautiful. I feel at peace that my 30-year-old friend was sent off beautifully.
